Michelle’s Advice in Money Magazine About Changing Your Name

September 13, 2014 by Michelle Friedman

I was a bit taken back with a call I received from a reporter at Money Magazine looking for my thoughts on a story she was writing entitled “How to Change Your Name Without Hurting Your Career”.

This is actually something I haven’t thought about in the almost 20 years since I have been married. And back then, it was pretty straightforward. Credit cards. Passport. Driver’s license. New business cards, and maybe some calls or letters to clients.

We had limited email, the beginnings of the internet, and no social networking. Today however, this is a very different story. Your personal brand is something to be closely managed, both online and offline. A name change is a great reason to be in touch with your network. Take a look at the article and feel free to pass on to someone who can use this insight!
